Overview

This document applies to all cybersecurity software-as-a-service solutions, websites, applications, platforms, APIs, software, modules, features, documentation, support, and related services made available by Stack4Sec, LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company.

For purposes of this document, "Stack4Sec," "Company," "we," "us," and "our" mean Stack4Sec, LLC. "Customer," "you," and "your" mean the person or entity accessing or using the Services.

This document is incorporated into and forms part of the Stack4Sec Terms of Service. Product-specific terms may supplement this document for particular products, modules, services, or features.

This document explains how Stack4Sec approaches California privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA). It is provided for transparency and does not constitute legal advice.

Scope

This document applies where Stack4Sec processes personal information subject to California privacy laws in connection with the Services.

Roles

Depending on the processing activity, Stack4Sec may act as:

  • a business for its own processing activities, such as account administration, billing, marketing, analytics, website operations, security, and customer relationship management;
  • a service provider or contractor where Stack4Sec processes Customer Personal Data on behalf of Customer under the Agreement;
  • a third party only where legally appropriate and disclosed.

Service Provider and Contractor Commitments

Where Stack4Sec acts as a service provider or contractor for Customer, Stack4Sec will process Customer Personal Data only for business purposes described in the Agreement, will not sell or share Customer Personal Data, will not retain, use, or disclose Customer Personal Data outside the direct business relationship with Customer except as permitted by law, and will not combine Customer Personal Data with personal information from other sources except as permitted by the CCPA/CPRA.

Categories of Personal Information

Stack4Sec may process categories of personal information such as identifiers, business contact information, account information, internet or electronic network activity information, commercial information, geolocation approximations based on IP address, support communications, professional or employment-related information, inferences related to product usage, and Customer Content submitted by Customer.

Purposes of Processing

Stack4Sec may process personal information to provide, secure, support, maintain, analyze, and improve the Services; manage accounts; process payments; provide communications; detect and prevent fraud or security incidents; comply with law; enforce agreements; and fulfill other purposes disclosed in the Privacy Policy.

California Consumer Rights

California consumers may have rights to know, access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit use and disclosure of sensitive personal information, and not be discriminated against for exercising rights, subject to legal limitations.

Requests may be sent to contact@stack4sec.com. Where Stack4Sec processes Customer Personal Data as a service provider or contractor, Stack4Sec may refer the request to Customer.

Sale and Sharing

Stack4Sec does not sell Customer Content. Stack4Sec does not disclose Customer Content for cross-context behavioral advertising.

If Stack4Sec engages in activities that constitute a sale or sharing of personal information under California law, Stack4Sec will provide required notices and opt-out mechanisms.

Global Privacy Control

Where required, Stack4Sec will honor Global Privacy Control or other legally recognized opt-out preference signals to the extent applicable and technically feasible.

Sensitive Personal Information

Stack4Sec does not request sensitive personal information unless necessary for the Services or business operations. Customer must not submit sensitive personal information unless permitted by the Agreement and lawful under applicable requirements.

Retention

Stack4Sec retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the disclosed purposes, to provide the Services, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, prevent fraud, and support business operations.

Authorized Agents and Verification

Stack4Sec may require information to verify the identity and authority of a requester or authorized agent before fulfilling a privacy request. Stack4Sec will use verification information only as permitted by law.

Financial Incentives

Stack4Sec does not offer financial incentives for the collection, sale, sharing, or deletion of personal information unless expressly disclosed in a separate notice.

Non-Discrimination

Stack4Sec will not unlawfully discriminate against California consumers for exercising privacy rights.
